THE 1997 RYDER CUP
The ever-remembered 1997 Ryder Cup was held in Valderrama, the first one outside the British Isles. Europeans win 14 and a half to 13 and a half. Tiger Woods failed to fulfill his wishes, winning just one point and a half out of five possible (including the loss to Costantino Rocca in the singles on the last day).
